The Whole Creation Calls us to Stop

Stop!

• When we look at the situation in Europe and the whole world – suffering of nature, consumer addiction, economic crisis – even our reason tells us to stop. The central message of Christ also in our time is metanoia, change of mind, which stops us and gives us a new direction.
  

A starting point is to quiet down and pray; when change takes place deep in our soul, it influences our whole life and common decisions.

Change!

• The only possible – and necessary – form of continuous growth is inner, spiritual growth.
  

The Finnish Orthodox Church Days call European Churches and all Europe to change and face an alternative future through repentance.

Ask for the spirit of moderation!

• In the Lord’s Prayer we ask: ”Give us this day our daily bread”. This reminds us about moderation: we ask for what we need, no more.
  

A Christian sharing means that each person receives according to his/her needs. For the European Union moderation is a challenge toward internal and international solidarity.
